Inspiration behind Dw33b -No CO2 Promise- Collection

Dw33b -No Co2 Promises Collection-
Words without action has no meaning.
Scroll down to read about the song which inspired this collection. Enjoy the pictures!

This collection was inspired by this video. I have reduced my listening to music  in order  to increase my attention span, last time I could listen for hours and do just basically that...back to the topic :

Once in awhile I still get inspired by songs that I use to listen and memorize by heart. This happens to be one of those inspiration moments when it plays in my head while I made this collection.  The song was by Corey Latif Williams (not so well known here but he is talented and  I found this song  to be good) It is called Promise me. I manage to find it on You Tube with the lyrics.

If it is slow to load here check out the link here :  http://youtu.be/WHZoOhYkQKE

My interpretation of the lyrics:
It is about this dude who has been let down enough times and was fooled he was loved but in truth his "Status" "Money" and "Worldly goods" were the pulling factor. He became kinda insecure and distrustful with the women coming at him. Then one day he met  "the one" and this song is him being truthful with her  about the state of his heart which to me has a clingy tone while listing out his baggage (we all have that) but he is being sincere and hopes they will get through any obstacles.
*On a realistic point promises can only be seen through the passage of time and actions done. Words can just be carbon dioxide after all.*
The recurring themes for were these Complex, Depth, Doubts, Honesty, Sincerity and Time and that is how I named the bracelets.
Overall .....Call me strange, a sucker  or both but I found it Inspiring.
Hope you enjoyed my mini story.

Multi-Tasking and how I managed to write this out.

"To do two things at once is to do neither.  - Publilius"

I wondered these past few months if I have been doing to much ?
So far I have been telling myself :
  • Get Facebook!
  • Get Twitter!
  • Get another blog!
  • Promote more!
  • Network more!
  • Take pictures..do not forget to edit!
  • Increase production of output!
The overall idea is just to Multi-Task as much as I could. I have been strecthing myself like a rubber band so much that I reached my limit and I became LAZY. The overall results, I can honestly say was nothing...nothing tangible to the people around me and myself. I missed the important stuff.

In the age of technology, we are given the impression that with the introduction of the internet and new devices such as laptops etc, we can do more in a shorter span of time. After much contemplation, it is in my mind :  a bunch of sugar coated chocolate cookies (It tasted good but at the end of the day they have terrible side effects). There is more of an increase in temptaion on the limited time we are allotted to have on this earth.

Even as I write and then retype this on the laptop, there is so much distration to just push this further to the back of my list. So it made me realize I have been stretching myself thin to the point the important things end up being covered up by all these "small" distractions.

So far I have deemed it a success to have even finish this mini essay of mine as I even got to tweak it more and got it typed out here on the blog. I decided to implement what I learned from the many many books and websites when it comes to getting the work done. Plus make sure you check out the beneficial article that got me in to action on the question I asked myself in the beginning.

Here is what I did in order to get this article done and you can do it to especially when you realize the things you do are not productive or was in denial like I was :

  1. Sit down on the chair, bed or floor wherever you like.
  2. Clear out your working space and put the bare essentials required to get the work done.
  3. Put away every thing that has the potential to distract you. Kick out the distractions!!
  4. Just concentrate on these bare essential for the next 5-10 minutes.
  5. *Warning* If you are anything like me. You will struggle for focus but eventually it become easy.
  6. A kind of calm will settle in after you practice the habit and before you know it....Ding!! like putting a bread in a toaster, You are done. Like bread your work may not be exactly as you hope it would be  at times but there will be times when your work will be the stuff of greatness.

My bare essentials in writng this! Wo hoo! Onwards to productivity

It is better to have one great project than 3-5 mediocre results. You know you can do better than that.

I got inspired by this wonderful article which came to my inbox :
Did Muhammad (Peace be upon him) Multi-Task?

Repair Work

Short Post today. Here are three pictures of repair work that I did a while back. In the beginning there were just beads and luckily for me the owner of these beads gave
me permission to do whatever I wanted to do with the beads. (Freedom! Lol)
*The pictures are a bit blurred though*

The bracelet in the second picture was lacking in stones , so I pondered for awhile and decided to combine it with a single heart bead and two crystals. So the owner would be able to wear this bracelet two ways.

Finally the last picture, the color combination on this one was interesting and somehow I feel that my picture taking skill does not reflect it well. hm...Maybe I am too harsh on myself.
All I can do is practice and experiment more in picture taking.
At the end of the day, all  the bracelets turned out great! The owner of these beads wore the second bracelet straight away. The only thing I wish I had done was take the before
pictures when the string was broken and such.

Practic makes perfect!
